As I practice several other sports that focus on developing strength and coordination, I turned to yoga for the stretching benefit of it. I practice CrossFit, which is an extremely challenging sport, therefore I was advised by my coach to take on yoga. When you start practicing yoga and you diligently listen to your teacher’s cues, you breathe correctly and you start being aware of your moves and their effect on your body and on your mind, life changes for good. From my very first session, I felt that yoga was the right fit for me and that Steluta was the right teacher. An MRA test revealed that I have an incipient lumber hernia (L5-S1) and also a patellar tracking disorder (one of my kneecaps keeps shifting out of place). I had poor flexibility, lower back, and knee pains. Since I’ve started working with Steluta (I also do Pilates) all these problems significantly diminished. For example, I used to use an anti-inflammatory gel for my knee on a daily bases, now I only use it once or twice a month, when the weather changes.
